Himel looks after the environment

Himel has implemented a Packaging Prevention Plan, which yearly prevents around 25 tons of packaging waste from being generated. By replacing wood and polyestirene with cardboard, over 15.000 kg. of wood and more than 100 kg. of expanded polyestirene will be kept out of the market. This action adds to the others, especially the study aiming at the improvement of water saving and reusing.

The monitoring of energy consumption in Capellades and Himel plants is now being implemented and will allow us to keep on going with these kind of initiatives not only to optimize our productivity, but also to offer new alternatives that will help us protect our environment.
